Hockey from the net out is our guiding philosophy at Hockey Consciousness. Goaltending is an extremely misunderstood position, especially among skaters and coaches who didn’t play the position. Hockey from the net out reflects our belief that a better understanding of goaltending will help shooters, coaches, parents and goalies be the best they can be.

Shooters will learn how to read and score on any goalie they come up against. Coaches will learn how to support and coach their own goalies, while helping their shooters create more offence. Parents will learn how to help the goalies in their lives achieve their potential and most importantly help keep them safe and secure as people as they navigate the stresses of goaltending.

Goalie Parents Online Session

For parents of goalies who want to learn more about how they can support their goalies and help them reach their potential. Sessions are fully customizable and can be run in a “lecture” style with a question period at the end, or in a more parent directed way, where we can help you with specific questions and challenges.

Subjects range from how to keep your goalie motivated, how to talk to coaches, how often they should be training and customized training programs.

For head coaches who want to learn more about how they can support their goalies and help them reach their potential. Sessions are fully customizable and can be an extension of the Hockey Consciousness Coaching Goalies online course, or they can be more geared towards problem solving and helping coach your specific goaltenders.
